Cláudia Rita Oliveira is a Portugal-based filmmaker, editor and founder of independent production company Madame Filmes.
Working across creative documentary and observational cinema, she draws on intimate, character-led stories to explore memory, identity, community and social transformation.
As an editor, her credits include “The Nothing Factory” (2017), “Cesária Évora” (2022), “José and Pilar” (2011) and “I Only Rest in the Storm” (2025). Her work has been recognised with several national and international awards.
As a director, she made “Cruzeiro Seixas: The Letters of King Arthur” (2016) and “No Canto Rosa” (2022), which has screened internationally and is available on Filmin.
She founded Madame Filmes in 2020.
