Editor, director and producer

She has a degree in Communication Design (University of the Algarve), a bachelor’s degree in Editing (ESTC) and attended the CinemaStudies department at FAMU (Prague). She is a postgraduate in Contemporary Photography by FBAUL (Lisbon). As further training, she attended a documentary workshop by Ateliers Varan, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
She worked as graphic designer for the Ministry of Culture, in Faro, and other institutions and companies between 2001 and 2008.
As an editor, she has won several national and international awards for best editing such as at the Fénix Film Awards 2017, the EDA – Argentine Association of Audiovisual Editors – Mar Del Plata Festival, the Sophia Awards – Portuguese Film Academy and also a nomination for best editing by the Brazilian Film Academy in 2011.
Cláudia Rita Oliveira directed the documentary “Cruzeiro Seixas – The Letters of king Artur” – Audience Award at DocLisboa2016, with a presence at other international festivals. In 2020, the film was included in the National Cinema Plan.
In 2022, she made the documentary “In the Pink Corner” (2022), which follows a case of domestic violence and psychological abuse, which was shown at several national and international festivals. As a result of the making of this documentary, she decided to change the direction of her life and founded Madame Filmes.
