I am a daughter of the revolution: I grew up hearing stories of resistance from the women freedom fighters in my family. Women of the Revolution is a film that tells us the extraordinary stories of the women who fought fascism in Portugal, and the African women who fought Portuguese colonialism in Africa and won. As the mothers of our democracy, their wisdom is essential for addressing the urgent challenges of today: violence against women and minorities, racism, the resurgence of fascism and war.
