Portuguese filmmaker, born in Angola and living between Lisbon and New York. Her work is focused on Portugal’s colonial past, the collective construction of memory and its reverberations in the present. Her film-making work has been supported by Brouillon d’un rêve documentaire (La Scam, France), Portuguese Film Institute (ICA), Portuguese National Television (RTP), Portuguese Society of Authors (SPA) and the Creative Media program. She has studied film at the School of the Art Institute (Chicago), Escuela Internacional de Cine y Television (Cuba) and the Downtown Community Television Center (New York); she holds a master’s degree in International Relations (City University of New York). Selected by La Scam as an IDFAcademy participant in 2021. Tales of Oblivion (2023, 63 minutes) is her second feature film.
